This week, Facebook started showing 360 video on its News Feed. Other publishers have been creating 360 videos already, but Facebook's move shows that this type of Virtual Reality (VR) video is entering the mainstream. 

Science publisher Discovery.com debuted their new app for iOS and Android that allows users to peek into a shark-infested shipwreck, freeboard the windiest street in the world and explore gold mining excavation.
