For today’s Partner Spotlight, we bring you a national company with an office in Broomfield, CO. Valued UCEC partner ENGlobal is a specialty engineering services firm that focuses on oil and gas automation solutions, subsea control systems and engineering and construction projects. The company operates through two business segments: Automation and Engineering.
Scott Bond
ENGlobal's Automation segment provides services related to the design, fabrication and implementation of advanced automation, control, instrumentation and process analytical systems. The Engineering segment provides consulting services for the development, management and execution of projects requiring professional engineering, construction management and related support services.
Scott Bond, Electrical Instrumentation and Control Technical Specialist gave us an inside glimpse of the company and how they work with UCEC. Scott, a 20-year veteran of the control industry, has worked with UCEC for years.
“UCEC takes very good care of you as a client,” Scott says. “They welcome you into their shop just like you were a part of the team. They do a real high-quality job.”
Scott started out his career years ago as a residential carpenter before being steered into engineering. “This suits me because I’m very detail oriented; and in this world, you have to be detail oriented,” he says.
“UCEC has always treated us as a part of their own company.”
Scott’s job encompasses a lot of control panel design and working with clients to understand their needs. “I put together ‘one lines,’ cable schedules and motor schematics which usually ties to the control panel. I have the opportunity to work on projects from conceptual design to startup,” he says. “Refreshingly, UCEC will make their recommendation and communicate that change to us before they make any actual changes,” Scott notes.
