Looking Ahead to 2018: Goals for Next Year
What's ahead in the New Year for our Arvada, CO-based panel shop? We're glad you asked!
Mark Inboden
President and CEO
2018 marks a milestone for UCEC in that we will be celebrating our 60th year in business. As we celebrate and thank our customers for making this possible, our focus needs to be on what will it take to be in operation 60 years from now! I believe 2018 will be a pivotal year for UCEC, and I can’t wait to roll out some of the plans we have as we reimagine our future!
Evan Coulter
VP of Business Operations
Looking ahead to 2018, my main focus is on developing an environment where we create a better “work experience” for our customers and employees. In our Quoting work, I never want to lose a bid due to lead time concerns, so I’ll work to make sure we have the most accurate information so customers can make their business-critical decisions.
John Beattie
Operations Manager for Production
My main goal for 2018 is to assist efforts to further streamline the Operations area to position ourselves for the future and new opportunities as we celebrate 60 years of business in 2018.
Garrod Massey
Operations Support Manager
In 2018, we are working to provide staff with a 360-degree view of UCEC. We want everyone to be more involved in the day-to-day processes that ultimately keep us a successful fine-tuned machine. The more our employees know about the product from RFQ (Request for Quote) to Shipping, the better.
Zach Fothergill
Operations Manager for Production
My goals for 2018 are to help facilitate more efficient work flow and to aid in the growth of our Production team. In 2017, we worked hard and produced excellent work. Going forward, we are focused on getting even better.
Paula Zangari
Project Coordinator
My 2018 goal is to invite all of our customers to their “board” in our project management software. I am currently testing this with a few customers. Customers will have the opportunity to “visit” UCEC at any time via their custom board.
In October, UCEC will celebrate its 60th anniversary.
From the beginning, the founder of UCEC, Howard Lacy, felt that he could make a better control panel at a better value than the control panels he was purchasing from others. My father-in-law, Chris Kitsos, took this concept beyond the municipal markets, and provided even better control panels and customer service to the private industry. It is amazing to think about how far UCEC and industrial control panels have come since 1958. We can all be proud of the role UCEC has played as a leader in our industry.
