A “No Bureaucracy” Model of Doing Business
By Mark Inboden
When I think of the Department of Motor Vehicles, health insurance firms or credit card companies, the visual I get is long lines, long waits, numerous handoffs and a huge waste of my time. In summary, two words: bureaucratic nightmare!
We all abhor the idea of having to deal with these types of companies. Granted, I had a relatively pain-free experience the last time I registered a new vehicle, but it was followed by a 25-minute call with an airline mileage program for a still-unresolved problem. These agencies and companies offer customer service departments that often provide no service at all for the people paying their bills.
At UCEC, we strive to get you the answer you need when you call. If you have a question or change for your control panel, our employees can make the change without going through several levels of management.
We do not have voicemail at UCEC, which is purposeful. If you need a particular person and they are in the office, we will get them for you. Of course, they might be helping someone else when you call, but they will get back to you promptly.
If the employee you wish to speak with is out of the office, there is a 99% chance that at least one, if not two other people can help you. Tell us what you need, and we will do our best to get you the right person. We are large enough to take care of your needs, but small enough to maintain a “No Bureaucracy” place of business. You have our guarantee: we will not load you down with paperwork and ask for signatures to get you what you want.
Mark is the President and CEO of UCEC.
